Industry:Semiconductors
The 29-bit parallel processor or 30-bit master processor counter field within the 32-bit PC register that contains the address of the next instruction.
Industry:Semiconductors
The ability of a program to use more memory than a computer actually has available as RAM. This is accomplished by using a swap file on disk to augment RAM. When RAM is not sufficient, part of the program is swapped out to a disk file until it is needed again. The combination of the swap file and available RAM is the virtual memory.
Industry:Semiconductors
A multimedia video processor (MVP) hardware mechanism through which the master processor (MP) cmnd instruction can signal a task interrupt to one or more parallel processors if their interrupts are enabled.
The MP uses this mechanism to spawn tasks on the various parallel processors.
Industry:Semiconductors
The address of the instruction to be executed when the CPU returns from a subroutine or interrupt service routine.
